Should religion be banned?

September 7th, 2007 by dowboy

This afternoon, my heart sank within me I as read the readers comments on a BBC webpage. The comments concerned the question of whether morality is declining in our nation, and why that is so. A Prayer for New Life

March 29th, 2007 by dowboy

Father God, in the busyness, let me hear your voice.

Father God, in my selfishness, let your glory shine.

Father God, in the study of your Word, renew my mind.

Father God, in a day of darkness, light up my heart.

Father God, in my melancholy, bring me joy.

Father God, in the deadness of religion, help me to believe the Gospel.

Father God, in a day of progress, show me the cross again … and again.

Father God, in a world of greed, teach me to love.

Father God, to my children, let me show Christ.

Father God, in a day of assertiveness, give me your Spirit’s strength.

Father God, in a world of passion, give me a passion for Christ.

Father God, in the thick fog of poisonous legalism, give me new life.
